Spondylolisthesis: Standing posteroanterior and lateral radiographs

(A) Standing posteroanterior (PA) radiograph in a patient with scoliosis and high-grade spondylolisthesis at L5-S1.

(B) Lateral radiograph in a patient with scoliosis and high-grade spondylolisthesis at L5-S1 (arrow).

The PA view assesses coronal plane deformities (eg, scoliosis). The lateral view assesses sagittal plane deformities (eg, spondylolisthesis, Scheuermann kyphosis) which may be associated with scoliosis.
