Lichen sclerosis

This patient with lichen sclerosis has the typical hourglass configuration of a white, onion skin-like lesion, circumscribing the vulvar and perianal areas. Patients with lichen sclerosis may also describe itching, discomfort in the vulvar area, bowel or bladder symptoms, discharge, or bleeding (ie, punctate hemorrhages) which can occur anywhere on the affected skin.
