How to give an intramuscular injection

To give yourself an intramuscular injection:

Gently stretch the skin, and quickly insert the needle into the muscle.
Push the plunger down all of the way.
Wait about 10 seconds, and remove the needle. Gently press on the area with gauze for 5 to 8 seconds, but do not rub.
