Initial airway management for tracheostomy tube displacement during anesthesia

This algorithm shows initial management during anesthesia. For patients who require a new surgical airway or who have a tracheal tube placed in a tracheostomy that is <7 days old, a surgeon should be involved in management of the airway at the end of anesthesia.
