Ultrasound proximal adductor longus tendinopathy

Ultrasound proximal adductor longus tendinopathy

This is a longitudinal (sagittal) view of the origins of the hip adductor muscles obtained with a 12 MHz linear transducer. Between the arrows is an enlarged, hypoechogenic (darker) portion of the adductor longus tendon near its origin with an irregular border. These findings suggest tendinopathy.

AL: adductor longus; AM: adductor magnus.
