The longitudinal (sagittal) ultrasound images above, obtained using a 12 MHz linear transducer, show muscle and tendon attachments at the pubis. The rectus abdominis is normal appearing in both images, but image B is notable for the thickness of the adductor tendon origin (located between the arrows) and its hypoechogenicity, as well as cortical irregularities of the pubic bone, suggesting adductor longus tendinopathy.
