Systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma: Post-induction management of advanced-stage disease in transplant-eligible patients

Systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma: Post-induction management of advanced-stage disease in transplant-eligible patients
This algorithm describes post-induction therapy management of advanced-stage ALK-positive sALCL and ALK-negative sALCL in transplant-eligible patients. Refer to related UpToDate material for details of diagnosis, staging, prognosis, treatment, eligibility for HCT, and response assessment. Management of relapsed or refractory sALCL is discussed separately.

sALCL: systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma; ALK: anaplastic lymphoma kinase; PET: positron emission tomography; CR: complete response; PR: partial response; SD: stable disease; PD: progressive disease; HCT: hematopoietic cell transplantation.

* The choice of observation versus autologous HCT in this setting must be individualized.

¶ A single site of persistent disease amenable to radiation therapy.

Δ HCT followed by radiation therapy is also acceptable.
