Induction therapy for peripheral T cell lymphoma (excluding systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma)

This algorithm describes response-guided induction therapy for initial management of PTCL (excluding sALCL) in adults. Refer to related UpToDate material for details of diagnosis, treatment, and response assessment for PTCL. Postinduction management for patients with complete response on end-of-induction PET and management of refractory PTCL are described separately.

BV-CHP: brentuximab vedotin, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, prednisone; CHOEP: cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, etoposide, prednisone; CHOP: cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, prednisone; PET3: positron emission tomography performed after 3 cycles of induction therapy; PTCL: peripheral T cell lymphoma; sALCL: systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma.

* CHOEP induction is generally limited to patients <65 years without major organ dysfunction, but eligibility criteria may vary.
