Column of Bertin on noncontrast computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging

Column of Bertin on noncontrast computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging
Axial noncontrast CT (arrow, A) shows a "mass" in the mid right kidney similar in attenuation to the kidney parenchyma. Axial T2 with fat saturation (arrowhead, B), noncontrast T1 without fat saturation (dashed arrow, C), axial T1 with fat saturation late arterial postcontrast (small arrow, D), and axial T1 with fat saturation nephrographic postcontrast (thick arrow, E) MRI show the mass to have signal similar to the kidney parenchyma on all phases.
CT: computed tomography; MRI: magnetic resonance imaging.
