Reported Use
Treatment of constipation; treatment for acute and chronic hepatic encephalopathy.
Dosage Range
Adults: Oral: 10 to 20 g once daily or 0.5 to 0.7 g/kg/day in 3 divided doses.
Pediatric:
Children 1 to 6 years: Oral: 2.5 to 5 g once daily.
Children 7 to 12 years: Oral: 5 to 10 g once daily.
Adolescents 13 to 16 years: Oral: 10 to 20 g once daily.
