CT imaging from a 52-year-old man with pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis.
(A) High-resolution CT at the lung apices demonstrates large irregular cysts and small nodules.
(B) Image at the level of the aortic arch shows multiple cysts and extensive reticulation. Also noted are poorly defined centrilobular nodules and ground-glass opacities due to associated respiratory bronchiolitis.
(C) CT image at the lung bases is virtually normal.
