This algorithm presents an approach to managing anticoagulation following atrial flutter ablation. Patients undergoing atrial flutter ablation are required to be on therapeutic anticoagulation at the time of the procedure. CHA2DS2-VASc score: congestive heart failure (1 point), hypertension (1 point), age>75 years (2 points), diabetes mellitus (1 point), prior stroke/transient ischemic attack or thromboembolism (2 points), vascular disease (1 point), age 65 to 74 years (1point), sex category (female, 1 point)

CTI: cavotricuspid isthmus.

* Ablation is performed in the right atrium for CTI ablation as well as some non-CTI ablations. Other non-CTI ablations are performed in the left atrium.
