Cervical MRI T2 axial (A) and left parasagittal T1 postcontrast (B) sequences show a preganglionic avulsion of left C7 and C8 nerve roots due to neck trauma that occurred two months prior to imaging. Note "cystic" pseudomeningoceles (arrows) at the site of root avulsions and abnormal T2-hyperintensity in the cord at the dorsal aspect of the left ventral horn (arrowhead).
