This table provides the manufacturer recommended igel Laryngeal Airway (ILA) size for insertion by patient weight. For patients whose weight falls into overlapping weight ranges (eg, 11 kg or 32 kg), the clinician may choose to place either the smaller or larger suggested ILA but have the other ILA immediately available in case of placement failure. ILA sizes 1.5 to 5 have an integrated port that permits passage of a gastric tube for stomach decompression.
