Petroclival (skull base) meningioma (arrows). T1-weighted axial postcontrast MRI (A), T2-weighted axial MRI (B), and CT (C) show a large, homogeneously enhancing extra-axial mass in the right skull base. The mass is isointense on T2-weighted MRI. T2-hyperintense signal abnormality within the brainstem parenchyma is consistent with vasogenic edema and/or subpial invasion.
CT: computed tomography; MRI: magnetic resonance imaging.
