Frequency of episodes of obstructive sleep apnea

Episodes of sleep apnea in hypothyroid patients, 6 with obesity (red bars) and 3 without obesity (blue bars) before and after 3 to 12 months of thyroxine (T4; levothyroxine) therapy. The frequency of episodes decreased significantly without a change in weight.
