| Administer sufficient glucocorticoid for a sufficient time to achieve the desired response |
| Administer glucocorticoid for no longer than is necessary to achieve the desired response |
| Terminate if objective therapeutic benefit is not observed when expected, if complications arise, or if maximum benefit has been achieved |
