General eligibility criteria for autologous hematopoietic cell transplantation

Disease-related indication

Performance status: Karnofsky performance status ≥70 or ECOG performance status ≤2

Renal function: Serum creatinine <2 mg/dL (177 micromol/L), unless autologous HCT is for myeloma

Cardiac function: Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) ≥40 percent, no uncontrolled coronary artery disease or uncontrolled arrhythmias, and NYHA class I or class II

Pulmonary function: Corrected DLCO ≥50 percent

Liver function: No frank cirrhosis of the liver

Adequate psychosocial and financial support

No evidence of myelodysplasia on bone marrow examination
