METs are used to express the energy costs of physical activities as multiples of resting metabolic rate. METy were computed from measured oxygen consumption of each activity divided by basal metabolic rate predicted from Schofield age-, sex-, and mass-specific equations.

MET: metabolic equivalent; METy: youth metabolic equivalent.

* Compilation of games.

¶ Bouncing, kicking, dribbling ball, reaction ball.
