Coronal view of an acardiac twin in the first trimester shows a poorly developed cranium (arrow). A cystic area is visible without cardiac activity in the expected region of the heart (arrowhead). The calipers are measuring the entire soft tissue of the acardiac twin, which has severely edematous subcutaneous tissues.
