Prediction of gestational age based on crown-chin length (mentovertical diameter) in normal fetuses. The crown-chin length was obtained by measuring the distance between the highest point of the fetal head and the most anterior aspect of the jaw in the sagittal view, which included the fetal profile. Crown-chin length is below the 2.5^th percentile in anencephalic fetuses.
