Benefit of leukotriene inhibitors in asthma

Effect of the leukotriene synthesis inhibitor zileuton (A) and the LTD4 receptor antagonist zafirlukast (B) on FEV₁ in patients with mild to moderate asthma. Both drugs significantly improved the FEV₁ compared with placebo.
