Efficacy of ipodate and PTU in hyperthyroidism

Percent change from baseline in serum concentrations of T4 (left panel) and T3 (right panel) in patients with hyperthyroidism who were treated with ipodate (1 g/day) or propylthiouracil (200 mg, 3 times daily). Ipodate produced more rapid correction of the hyperthyroidism.
