Umbilical vein varix

(A) Sagittal view of the fetal abdomen at 27 weeks of gestation shows a larger than expected portion of the intraabdominal umbilical vein as it enters the abdomen. The intra-abdominal umbilical vein is dilated throughout most of its course and measures 14 mm at its greatest diameter. Panel (B) shows the vascular nature of the mass.
