(A) Papillary muscle with orangophillic discoloration in the center, classic for myocardial infarcts in the fetus, which tend to be multifocal and non-coronary in distribution. (B) Wavy fibers, relatively recent myocardial infarction. (C) Calcified focus in papillary muscle, which may be seen in Trisomy 21 or 13 or as evidence of a remote myocardial infarction.
