Transverse image of the pelvis (C) shows a full bladder. Repeat images of the
right (D) and left (E) kidneys and bladder (F) after the patient attempted to
void show persistent hydronephrosis and no change in bladder distension, indicating bladder outlet obstruction. Similar findings may
be seen in patients with neurogenic bladder.
