ST segment depression on the initial ECG is associated with mortality in unstable angina
In the GUSTO-IIb trial of 8001 patients with unstable angina, the presence of ≥2 mm ST segment depression in ≥2 contiguous leads on the initial ECG was associated with an increased one-year mortality (14 versus 4.4 percent without ST segment depression, p<0.05).
