Auricular cellulitis

Auricular cellulitis
A 19-month-old child with a red, swollen, anteriorly displaced auricle after 10 days of treatment with amoxicillin. The posterior aspect of the auricle was erythematous, but the mastoid process was nontender, and the tympanic membrane was normal. Computed tomography demonstrated normal mastoid air cells, and the cellulitis responded to antistaphylococcal antibiotics.
