Saphenous nerve

Saphenous nerve
The saphenous nerve is the largest cutaneous branch of the femoral nerve. It exits the adductor canal traveling deep to the sartorius muscle emerging medially between the tendons of the sartorius and gracilis muscles at the knee to become superficial. It travels distally adjacent the great saphenous vein. The saphenous nerve provides sensory innervation to the medial aspect of the leg.
