Sagittal reconstruction images from CT of the cervical spine show nondisplacement of the C5-6 facet joint of the right (A, arrow) but anterior displacement of the C5 facet on that of C6 on the left (C, arrow). Midline image (B) shows malalignment of the cervical spine. Unilateral facet dislocations involve flexion and rotation. Rotation occurs around one of the facet joints; dislocation occurs at the contralateral facet joint, with the superior facet moving over the inferior facet.
