Right ventricular hypertrophy

The right ventricular forces become predominant in patients with RVH, producing tall R waves in the right precordial leads (V₁ and V₂), and deep S waves in the left precordial leads (V₅ and V₆); an R:S ratio >1 in V₁ and V₂ is suggestive of RVH. Other features in this case include right axis deviation and R in V₁ >7 mm.
