Nomogram to estimate Kt/V from the ratio (R) of the postdialysis to predialysis BUN and the fraction of body weight removed by ultrafiltration (UF/W), ranging from 0 to 0.09 (0 to 9 percent). Drawing the postdialysis blood sample should be delayed for 30 minutes after short-duration, high-efficiency hemodialysis to permit reequilibration with intracellular stores.
