To prevent pregnancy, unprotected intercourse should be avoided during menses; on preovulatory days following days with intercourse; on all days with wet, slippery, transparent, or stretchy secretions; and for four days past the last day with wet secretions.
Conversely, patients who desire pregnancy should have unprotected intercourse on the days listed above.
