Outcome after repeat percutaneous mitral balloon commissurotomy is related to comorbid diseases

In a group of 36 patients who underwent repeat percutaneous mitral balloon commissurotomy for mitral valve restenosis developing 37 months after the first procedure, the presence of a comorbid disease significantly reduced overall survival (panel A) and event-free survival (panel B).
