Pathology of granuloma annulare - early lesion (H&E 100x)

This low-power view shows 2 areas of incomplete collagen degeneration in the left lower and left upper areas of this photomicrograph with broad areas of normal intervening dermal collagen (interstitial or incomplete granuloma annulare). Early lesions of this type fail to show central areas of acellular, necrobiotic collagen (H&E 100x).
