Adrenal vein aldosterone ratios for patients with unilateral APAs, bilateral IHA, and unilateral PAH

Adrenal vein aldosterone ratios for patients with unilateral APAs, bilateral IHA, and unilateral PAH
Between 1990 and 2003, 203 patients underwent adrenal venous sampling. Bilateral successful adrenal vein catheterization was achieved in 95.6% of the patients. The sensitivity and specificity of the cortisol-corrected PAC lateralization ratio >4.0 for unilateral disease are 95.2 and 100%, respectively. Shaded symbols indicate the diagnosis was confirmed surgically.
APA: aldosterone-producing adenoma; IHA: idiopathic hyperaldosteronism; PAH: primary adrenal hyperplasia; PAC: plasma aldosterone concentration.
