Gallbladder anatomy

Gallbladder anatomy
The gallbladder has four anatomic segments: fundus, body, neck, and infundibulum. Some authors use the terms neck and infundibulum synonymously, but some use the term infundibulum to describe the distal area at which the neck connects to the cystic duct. The Calot triangle is bordered by the cystic duct, cystic artery, and common hepatic duct. The hepatocystic triangle, which includes the Calot triangle, is bordered by the liver edge, cystic duct, and common hepatic duct. These two triangles are commonly referred to in cholecystectomy techniques.
