Tricuspid regurgitation

Tricuspid regurgitation
Top panel: Right atrial (RA) and right ventricular (RV) pressure tracings, obtained simultaneously, show elevated RA and RV pressures. A large "V" wave is seen in the RA during ventricular systole. Bottom panel: The venous pulse of the regurgitation can be detected in the femoral vein. The femoral vein pressure is slightly higher than that of the right atrium, a pressure gradient that maintains normal blood flow.
