The accelerated portion of the protocol is shown at the top, followed by subsequent weekly visits to reach full maintenance, as recommended by the manufacturer of the venom extract being administered. In this example, the subsequent build-up follows the schedule recommended by Hollister-Stier (Spokane, Washington). If ALK-Abello (Round Rock, Texas) extracts were used, the schedule in the package insert could be followed to complete the build-up phase.
