Organization of the human T cell receptor-gamma chain locus

There are 6 functional V gamma genes, 5 pseudogenes (red boxes), and 3 unused genes with ORFs (boxes with Xs). There are 3 J gamma 1, and 2 J gamma 2 gene segments. There is 1 each of C gamma 1 and C gamma 2.
