Posterior rectopexy with mesh sling

This figure depicts the mobilization of the rectum anteriorly and posteriorly. The mesh sling is attached to the presacral fascia, wrapped anterior onto the anterior surface of the rectum, and attached to the seromuscular layer. This procedure can be performed laparoscopically or open.
