Location of wrist anatomic snuffbox
The anatomic snuffbox (asterisk) is located proximal to the base of the thumb between the extensor pollicis longus tendon and the extensor pollicis brevis and abductor pollicis longus tendons. A fracture of the scaphoid waist often manifests as tenderness in this region.
