Dosing: Adult
Granulation tissue growth; minor hemorrhage

Granulation tissue growth; minor hemorrhage (Lumicain): Topical: Allow packing saturated in Lumicain to remain in nail groove for 48 hours; repeat if necessary. If hemorrhage is profuse, dress wound with gauze saturated with Lumicain and allow to remain for ≥24 hours.

Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis: Topical: Apply once daily at bedtime; once excessive sweating has stopped, may decrease to once or twice weekly, or as needed. Wash treated area in the morning.

Dosing: Kidney Impairment: Adult

Adverse Reactions

Central nervous system: Burning sensation, prickling sensation, transient stinging of the skin

Dermatologic: Pruritus (transient), skin irritation

• Skin irritation: Discontinue if skin irritation occurs.

Other warnings/precautions:

• Appropriate use: Antiperspirant products are for external use only; avoid contact with eyes. Do not apply to broken or recently shaved skin. May be harmful to certain metals or fabrics. Some products may be used on various parts of the body (eg, underarms, hands, forehead, feet, skin folds, groin, inner thighs); refer to specific product labeling. Lumicain is for topical application only.

Administration: Adult

Topical:

Antiperspirant: For external use only. Apply to dry skin at bedtime; do not rub in. Leave on skin for 6 to 8 hours; wash off the next morning with soap and water. Allow alcohol to evaporate, leaving a thin film on the skin. Wear a t-shirt while sleeping to prevent antiperspirant from being rubbed off on bed sheets. Wait at least 2 hours after bathing before applying. Do not apply to wounds or broken, irritated, or recently shaved/waxed skin. Do not apply other deodorants or antiperspirants.

Hemostatic solution (Lumicain): For topical application only. Apply packing saturated in Lumicain solution; may dress wound with Lumicain-saturated gauze if profuse hemorrhage.

Use: Labeled Indications

Granulation tissue growth; minor hemorrhage (Lumicain): Control of minor hemorrhage and/or granulation tissue growth during nail and callus debridement.

Hyperhidrosis: Antiperspirant in the management of hyperhidrosis.
