High resolution computed tomography of nontuberculous mycobacterial pulmonary disease

Seventeen-year-old patient with cystic fibrosis and sputum culture positive for Mycobacterium avium-intracellulare in association with declining pulmonary function and weight loss. Note the multiple bilateral nodular opacities distributed in a bronchovascular pattern (arrows). Moderate bronchiectasis is demonstrated by dilated airways and bronchial wall thickening (arrowheads).
