Quantitative HIDA scan showing a decreased gallbladder ejection fraction

The quantitative HIDA scan shows early filling of the gallbladder at 25 minutes. At 57 minutes, infusion of CCK was initiated (broad white arrow). Mild reduction of gallbladder activity was demonstrated. The ejection fraction was 30 percent (normal 40 percent or greater).
