Acromioclavicular injury Type V

Acromioclavicular injury Type V
Radiographs of both clavicles (A) reveal superior displacement of the left clavicle with marked widening of the acromioclavicular distance (arrowhead) and coracoclavicular distance (arrow). The acromioclavicular distance is more than twice the distance when compared to the contralateral normal side. Dislocation of the sternoclavicular joint (dashed arrow) is also noted. Image B focuses on the widening of the coracoclavicular distance (arrow) and the approximately 2.2 cm widening of the coracoclavicular distance (arrowhead). These findings are consistent with a Type V acromioclavicular injury.
