Ruptured popliteal artery aneurysm on CT

Ruptured popliteal artery aneurysm on CT
The noncontrast CT scan shows bilateral popliteal artery aneurysms (right: A and C; left: B and D). The right-sided aneurysm (arrow in A) is ruptured with extravasation into the soft tissues (arrowhead in A). A fluid collection containing high density blood (arrow in C) can also be seen more proximally in the right popliteal fossa. The left-sided popliteal aneurysm (arrow in B) is smaller and complex, but unruptured.
CT: computed tomography
