Transcatheter pulmonary valve implantation of Melody valve
Transcatheter pulmonary valve implantation of Melody valve
Lateral views of angiogram before (left panel) and after (right panel) prestenting and TPVI in an 8-year-old girl. The girl had an interrupted aortic arch with a subaortic stenosis that was repaired using a Damus-Kaye-Stansel anastomosis and a Homograft that was bicuspidalized to a diameter of 13 mm. A covered CP stent (NuMED) was used for prestenting. A Melody valve (Medtronic) was used for TPVI and dilated to 18 mm. The Melody valve consists of a CP stent (NuMED) within which a bovine jugular venous valve is attached. Therefore, the right image depicts 2 identical stents lying inside of each other.
TPVI: transcatheter pulmonary valve implantation.
