Dermoscopic features of the "black heel"

Dermoscopic features of the "black heel"

(A) The "black heel" results from the formation of tiny petechiae in the epidermis of the heel caused, in most cases, by friction with tight, ill-fitted sport shoes. On dermoscopy, reddish to black, globular pigmentation on the ridges (the pebbles on the ridges) is characteristic.
