Pain at the fracture site

Inability to bear weight

Point tenderness

Ecchymosis or skin discoloration

Pain that radiates (with nerve involvement)

Edema or joint effusion

Loss of bony or limb contour

Extremity shortening

Decreased range of motion

Open wound and bone exposure

Significantly diminished mobility

Soft tissue mass or swelling at the site of pain

Sensory disturbance of the distal extremity

Radiculopathy (vertebral compression facture)
